AI, Technology and Content Marketing - One more area of disruption - Only time will tell whether AI will be the new industrial revolution or whether it will make humans the first species that will self-drive to extinction through their supposedly "smart" intelligence. By the way, this could be one reason for the increase in fake news.
As per one CEO, "I think I know — it’s in helping people do the things that people are good at, and turning more things over to machines.” - May be, this CEO can elaborate on what he is good at, and what people are good at.
Personally, I believe, more we start over-relying (or under-relying - too much or too less) on outsourcing/insourcing, off-shoring and machines, more humans will miss out on observational, experiential, inferential and tacit learning.
Brain and mind power will dwindle over time leading to idiocracy. There needs to be a balance. If the 1% is going to set the path for the remaining 99% in an economic environment that relies heavily on consumption, then the policies and rule of law need to change with changing times. Anyway, most probably, it is a matter of time before machines will decide on those aspects as well (or, it is already happening)
